Fantom Sonic is the name that covers the new Fantom technology stack, replacing the previous Opera. The new technology stack is included in the new Fantom Sonic Client that validators and other nodes will run to power the network, which comprises mainly the Fantom Virtual Machine (FVM), Carmen database storage, and an optimized Lachesis consensus mechanism.

It was my role to ideate and launch a full campaign around the new tech stack and a continued launch into Q1 of 2024

Brainstorm/Ideas page for a mini campaign around the FVM launch

Idea #1

Without having a tangible real world physical product (As in just tech) it is very hard to actually portray all we need to in an understandable and cohesive way (Outside of the bounds of data in infographic form). With this idea we substitute a number of actual physical products that would represent Fantom and FVM if they were a real product in everyday life. We stand for speed, scalability and security which all have products related to those specific fields and we could project what a Fantom branded version of that product would look like in 3d in an outrageous way (Think Apple iphone 15 pro, slow, close and futuristic, high tech, lcd screens, holographs etc)

Sneakers - Speed F1 hover car - Speed

Product 1: Hook line ”If Fantom Virtual Machine were a sneaker” (Fast) ”Fantom doesn’t make training shoes, but if we did”

Idea #2 With the new throughput of 2000 TPS we use a standard and well known time metric (This example will use Usain Bolt’s 9.58sec World record time) and we animate the number of transactions Fantom would process in that time in a creative way. We could bring in the major credit card TPS numbers as a comparison as well. So an athlete running the 100m with some well thought out motion graphics that represent both Fantom and our competitors TX rate during that 9.58seconds. Easy to relate to and put together in post using animation or stock footage.

This can also be built out into a longer form edit/campaign using a number of famous events and the time associated with them.

Neil Armstrong’s famous quote: Neil Armstrong spoke the famous words, "That's one small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind," immediately after he descended from the ladder of the lunar module and placed his foot on the surface of the Moon during the Apollo 11 mission. The entire sentence took just a few seconds to say and took 1.28 secs to reach the Earth

Moon Landing (1969): Neil Armstrong's first step on the Moon took about 20 seconds and was a historic achievement for humanity.

Felix Baumgartner's historic freefall from the edge of space during the Red Bull Stratos mission took approximately 9 minutes and 3 seconds. He jumped from a height of approximately 128,100 feet (39,045 meters) on October 14, 2012. During the descent, he broke the sound barrier, reaching a maximum speed of about 843.6 miles per hour (1,357.6 kilometers per hour) and making it the highest and fastest freefall jump in history at the time. His jump was a part of scientific research and provided valuable data for future space travel and high-altitude parachute jumps.

The Wright Brothers' First Flight (1903): Orville Wright's flight at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, lasted only 12 seconds, but it marked the beginning of powered flight.

World's Fastest Piano Player (2020): Peter Bence, a pianist from Hungary, set the world record for playing "Flight of the Bumblebee" in just over 30 seconds, demonstrating incredible speed and skill.

World’s fastest rubic cube solve. Max Park set a new world record for the fastest 3x3x3 Rubik's cube time, with 3.13 seconds, on June 11 2023 at a competition in Southern California.

Test Net Ideas

With the implementation of the Sonic Testnet in Oct, we could use the example of the testing of ThrustSSC and as it prepared to break the Super Sonic land speed record in the Nevada desert in 1997 in a race against the American team Pullout INT US and their car “Spirit of America” (Multiple stock footage exists of this whole story from the testing of both cars, interviews on how complex and technical this is that fits our narrative perfectly and finally ThrustSSC breaking the record and achieving mach 1.02 and a measured mile time of 3.6 seconds

We could build the whole testnet story of Sonic using this footage, dropping it along the way between the launch of the testnet up until the launch of main net. In essence, let’s let this awesome speed story that broke the super sonic barrier tell our story for us! Easy to implement with just the stock footage, BBC narration and interviews and a great story to boot.

3d model of the car we can use in compositions:

The whole story is documented via Getty images with rights to use and covers every piece of the testing phase and interviews to the final run where ThrustSSC broke the record. All in all it would give us 15-20 mins of narrated video footage and we can chop up into segments telling the story as we need it. A rough pricing for all footage would be around 2.5k USD!!!!!!!!
