UNESCO Funded Documentary shoot built around the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.

11 days on location in Fukuoka, Japan with an amazing amount of diversity in filming locations, content and planning. Think Samurai, Sake, Sports, Street Food and Shrines and then throw into the mix the Rugby World Cup 2019 all happening around us and you will get an insight into the episode. Pixel Pulse undertook the full hiring of the 11 person media team plus budgeting requirements for the project as well as organising the full logistics of getting the team to Japan and our shooting itinerary while there and both post production on the footage and distribution of the finished documentary to broadcast television.

My main tasks for this Unesco backed project were to build a custom media team to travel and film in the Fukuoka region in Japan focussed on highlighting the area all to the backdrop of the Rugby World Cup. I undertook all the planning, logistics and program for the shoot as well pre and post production on the final documentary.

  • Consultation with the client to understand the scope, target audience, and deliverables of the project.

  • Creation of a shooting schedule and content based on the client's specifications and input

  • All logistics surrounding the media teams travel within Japan, interview planning and shooting locations.

  • Full post production on the media created.

  • Full planning on distribution of the documentary via media and broadcast partners.
